Materials we use for stretcher bars

As raw materials we mainly use premium FSC® certified Nordic and Baltic redwood (pine) and aspen.

Canvas bars made from pine are sturdy and straight which means the canvas frame won’t break or crack easily. This makes stretching the canvas to the frame easier. We can also offer stretcher bars made from solid Nordic spruce.

We use knot-free and finger-jointed or finger-jointed and glulam wood only.

A comprehensive guide about what wood is best to use for making canvas stretcher bars can be found HERE.
